# Forkable

> Forkable lets you fork a whole working business, not a blank page: the app, the agents that run it, its integrations and a go-to-market kit, MIT licensed.
> Every business comes with Sign in with One and its integrations already wired through One Connect, and starts on a keyless Acme Inc sample.

## Start

npm create forkable@latest <dir> -- --template <id>

The `--` matters. Without it npm keeps the flags for itself and the command fails.

## Templates

- `forkable-starter`: Forkable starter (Starter). The base every Forkable business starts from: One Connect and Sign in with One prewired, a keyless Acme Inc demo, agents/, AGENTS.md, build skills and a gtm/ kit. Package manager npm. - `rill`: Rill (Email). An email client on your Gmail. It sorts mail by your VIPs and goals and drafts the reply. Package manager pnpm. ## If you are an agent

1. Pick a template id from https://forkable.dev/templates.json (only ones with "status": "available").
2. Fork it: `npm create forkable@latest <dir> -- --template <id> --json --yes`. If that version of create-forkable says it does not know `--json`, run `npm create forkable@latest <dir> -- --template <id>` instead. Add `--for "<who>" --in "<where>"` when the human said who the business is for and where.
3. Read AGENTS.md in the fork before you change anything. It has the rules the repo runs on.
4. Run the demo (`npm start`, or `pnpm start` for pnpm templates). Success means it exits 0. No account and no keys are needed.
5. Stop and ask the human before any secret, git push, deploy or publish. Never write a secret into .env, a file, a log or the chat. Going live needs one Connect app that the human makes in the One dashboard.
